Hi, This is Sheryl, Josephine and Tharoob we're going to write Josephine's exam composition :)
Surprise!
"What a tiring day after school!" I exclaimed tiredly. It was a long, hard day at schooland I was exhausted. The exams are coming and I have been spending all my time studying.Suddenly, it was all silent and it felt awkward. "Am i being watched?" I thought suspiciously."Nah. All this is just because I studied too much. Now, I'm thinking too much." Then, I startedto relax. Then when I was walking, I just felt somewhat uncomfortable.
Suddenly, I heard a rustle in the bushes. I swung my head around and I saw a dark figure with big, round, baby blue eyes staring at me. "Who's there?" I shouted. Then, the dark figure ran like the wind. "Hey! Stop there! Who are you?" I chased him and followed him into the park.
All of a sudden, the figure stopped. I stopped too and panted heavily. I panted so fast that it almost felt like I could not breathe. The figure then turned around. "Dad?" I asked surprisingly.
He smiled and said,"Surprise." "Huh? Surprised?" I asked, confused.
"Surprise!" He shouted with a crowd of people. "Woah!" I exclaimed, amazed at what was before me. Balloons, benches, and everyone was holding a present. "Oh my! I most forgot my own birthday!" I exclaimed, embarrassed.
"You have worked extremely hard on your exams, dear! We wanted to cheer you up!" exclaimed Mother. "Thank you guys! I love it loads! Thanks!" I said as I hugged Mum and Dad. "This is the best birthday ever!" I said merrily. "Plus, its in the park!"
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you!" Everyone sang and clapped as I stood before my birthday cake. After the song, I made a wish and blew out the ten candles. Then I got to unwrap my presents. "This was the best birthday I have ever had!" I thought.
