"I wonder what is for lunch and dinner," Sam said. As Sam was walking home, he could smell the aroma of fried fish. He immediately knew it was fried salmon, his favourite dish. He ran into the kitchen just as his mother was about to use the spatula to slide the fish into the wok. " Hooray! Mum is going to cook salmon today!" Sam yelped in joy.
The salmon was turning golden-brown in the hot oil, so Mum scooped the fish up and placed it onto a beautiful plate with white rice. She garnished it with cucumbers. As Sam ate, he could taste the crunchiness of the cucumbers and the freshness of the fish. The fish was so delicious that it melted in his mouth. After lunch, Sam was still hungry and wanted his mother to cook salmon again but she was sleeping. It was then he had a brilliant plan.
From the corner of his eyes, Sam saw the family's aquarium. He walked into the storeroom and took out a mini fishing net. He took the net and walked back to the aquarium. He looked for the fish food to lure the guppy up. Sam poured some of the red-coloured fish food in the aquarium. At once, all the fishes swam to the top. Sam took out the net and caught the fat guppy he had been eying. The fish gasped for air as it came out of the aquarium.
He brought it to his room and ut it onto a toy plate. He looked in his toy box and found a toy cooking set. As he started the fake "fire", he used the spatula and slid the fish in. As he imitated his mother's cooking. Sam used his water bottle and sprayed water in. Water splatted all over the floor. Then, he used the fake spatula to flip the fish over. The toy kitchen shook. The noise woke his mother up.
As his mother walked towards his bedroom, she could hear grunting noises. When she opened the door and saw that Sam was trying to cook the guppy, she laughed. Both of them started laughing. Then, she told Sam not to do such a silly thing again.
